Information About Stuart
Pointe-Claire tutorPersonal Description:
My name is Stuart , I am a 23 year old Mechanical Engineer (BASc) who graduated from Queens University in spring of 2018. I am currently working as a Technical Sales Engineer In Montreal, Quebec.
I graduated from high school with a 94 average, which led to a scholarship to attend Queens University in Engineering. Being a well rounded individual is also something that I think is important. My favorite sport to play is hockey, which I played while in Highschool for the Senior Boys team. I am a social individual that also spends time volunteering throughout the community.
Tutoring Experience:
Math and physics were always my strongest subjects, scoring A`s in almost all these subjects classes throughout university. I currently have a year and a half of tutoring experience for 2 children in grade 9 math.
Tutoring Approach:
I think that it important to first identify the mode in which one learns (e.g. tactile, auditory, visual) in order to fully tap in to their learning potential. Once this is known, you can then cater your teaching style to a method that best suits the learner.
In the case of math and physics, it is important to identify and a step by step process that will help the learner approach and solve complex problems. In my opinion, the structure of your answer is the number one reason why some people find math and physics difficult to understand. Once your approach is broken down into smaller pieces of information in a step by step process, it can then be understood with much less difficulty.
