Personal Description:
I am from Nova Scotia, Canada. I am interested in music, movies, videos games, photography, and travelling.
Tutoring Experience:
For the past thirteen years I have been teaching in one form or anotheer. I was a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Victoria in Victoria British Columbia, Canada. During my time in Victoria time I taught several undergraduate tutorials and labs and involved in a great deal of individual tutoring. Before my time at the University of Victoria I did my BSc with honours in Chemistry at Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada. In Halifax I taught several introductory labs and tutoring. During my time at Dalhousie I also tutored science and math at a local community center for four years. More recently I obtained a BEd. in Secondary Science Education and have tutored students for countless hours in basic, general, organic, inorganic chemistry, spectroscopy, physics and math.
Tutoring Approach:
My basic approach is to vary my approach based on what the student needs. I am quite flexible and am able to do review practice questions, make study notes, give a summary of the chapter and many more things. I like to let the student know that they are in control and the expert on their knowledge and learning. I am here to support them as a guide.
