Personal Description:
I am thrilled to spread my knowledge of biology. I understand how to teach others while providing the support necessary to ease frustration or confusion. I lead my students through the session with open-ended questions that can help them conclude on their own, whether we are studying cellular theory or reviewing for a high school biology test.
Tutoring Experience:
While in college, I counseled peers who were struggling with academic material. My bachelor's in Human Development allows me to provide support to students of all ages and cultures. I also have a master's in Biomedical Science, which provides me the skills necessary to be a biology tutor.
Tutoring Approach:
My aim for my students is to help them build their own understanding of the material. Different people have different thought processes and I experiment with how I approach the information until I find the one that works best for them. By assessing their skill level, I can determine where they are at with their studies, allowing me to keep them engaged throughout sessions.
