Personal Description:

Hi, I'm Steve here in beautiful Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Writing is the basis of my professional career, but a love of words has been a constant in my life since the time I could first put pen (or crayon) to paper. My background is a journalism degree, and I also have a bachelor of arts with a major in English and minor in philosophy. Combined with a myriad of other interests, I hope my educational background, professional skills, attention to detail and calm, pleasant demeanor useful for your tutoring needs.

Tutoring Experience:

Although I haven't formally tutored, I often assist classmates and colleagues throughout my academic and professional careers. I have a keen ability to grasp concepts quickly, and will always be prepared in advance by researching a topic/subject to ensure I'm well prepared for the task at hand. My strengths lie in English (grammar, writing and reading), however I have an educational background that led to strong skills in a variety of other subjects.

Tutoring Approach:

As mentioned above, I have an unflappable demeanor to which students seem to gravitate when it comes to the tutoring process. I can follow set lesson plans or develop one in collaboration with the student in order to achieve the desired educational goals. I also manage a small staff and work in conjunction with them on writing, grammar and composition on a daily basis.
