Personal Description:

I have always been curious. Math and science have always held a fascination in my mind and I hope to use my skills to help you or your child understand everything from the fundamentals of scientific theory to the deeper principles behind chemistry, biology and mathematics.
As far as work history I worked primarily in the mining industry, working alongside geologists in various technical and analytical positions. I have also held several supervisory/management positions in my career, and I have a history of training individuals in common lab practices and basic comprehension of complicated subjects.
In addition, I have worked as a chef running various kitchens. In that position I routinely trained individuals in the safe operation of various kitchen machinery as well as safe food handling practices.

Currently I am a freelance writer, producing content for various websites.

Tutoring Experience:

- Previously tutored individuals in high school, mostly on a volunteer basis among friends
- Longstanding work history of training individuals in basic chemistry and lab practices
- extremely patient. I have worked with special need individuals in a partnership with one of the local assistance programs looking to employ individuals with limited capacity.

Tutoring Approach:

Depends on the child/age/curiosity/tenacity/comprehension level. I feel that each child learns differently, and understanding your Childs individual comprehension level is important to helping your child learn better.
First step would be an assessment of your Childs abilities through a quick chat and a couple of basic questions. I would be looking to determine basic understanding of mathematic and scientific principles as well as try to develop a rapport with the child as I feel that would be a pretty key indicator of how well your child would take to being tutored by me. If your child is naturally curious, my job got infinitely easier. If your child is reluctant to learn math or science there are several ways to help a child understand though analogies, games, and relating the subject to what your child is interested in.
Second step would be forwarding me specific course outlines your child is currently enrolled in. I can better understand the principles being taught your child
Third step is easy. We set up a schedule and stick to it. You get to watch as your child develops the critical reasoning skills that will benefit your child for a lifetime.
