Personal Description:
I am a BC certified teacher living in Burnaby, BC. I grew up in Ontario and moved to BC in 2004. In my spare time, I enjoy drawing, painting, reading, writing, gardening, cooking and travelling. I love cats and have three cats! I am currently pursuing graduate studies to obtain a Masters in English.
Tutoring Experience:
I have a degree in English Literature and degree in Education from the University of Ottawa. I have over twenty years of experience teaching and tutoring. I have experience teaching ELL students of all ages. I also have experience working with special education, and I have taught Core French and French Immersion in BC schools. I am familiar with the BC curriculum for all of the subjects taught in the schools.
Tutoring Approach:
I normally like to assess in the beginning to discover how I can best assist. Afterwards, I develop a plan and discuss.
I will follow the plan and provide feedback on progress regularly.
