Personal Description:

Hey there! I'm a student entering his second year at McGill university, majoring in Economics and minoring in Psychology. I come from Mauritius and our mother tongue there is Créole and most people there speak 3 languages: Créole, French, and English. By the way, I'm 20 years old.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring back in Mauritius for 3 months and I know how to deal with youngsters when it comes to languages. I get along quite well with them and I'm very friendly.

Tutoring Approach:

For youngsters, I basically teach them a few new words every session and focus on pronunciation and the meaning of the words itself. As we progress, I start with simple sentences, and depending on the pace at which the students are learning, I teach them more complex sentences and converse with them. I'll usually use Google translate and might include YouTube and other sites to show them how people hold a conversation in the language being taught.
