Information About Shari
Richmond Hill tutorPersonal Description:
I am currently a grade 11 high school student as of the year 2019/2020. I know at this point, many of you might not be able to trust your child into the hands of such a young person. But because I'm a teenager, all the knowledge I learned is still fresh in my mind. As of now, all my averages are above 90% and the ones that I am good at are above 95%.
Tutoring Experience:
Despite my age, I have a couple tutoring/teaching experience. One experience was teaching children drawing and building when I volunteered at a summer camp last summer. Another more relevant experience was when I tutored my classmate for an upcoming test a couple months ago and her mark went up from a usual 60% to 80%. That was when I realized I can become a tutor.
Tutoring Approach:
I understand that things that come naturally to me may not be the case for other people, and vice versa. That's why in tutoring/teaching, it is important to have patience when dealing with students. I may be lucky and get a student that understands immediately after explaining only once, but I can also get a student asking me the same question for the tenth time. Even if that's the case, I cannot get impatient and have to find the learning style of the specific student.
