Personal Description:

I am a Canadian who has two masters degrees, one in Business Management and one in Engineering, 43 years of corporate experience with multinational companies in the auto, petroleum, energy and natural resource sector where I have headed the functions of Marketing, HR and Corporate Planning. My positions include that of managing Director, CHRO and General Manager. I have recently retired from corporate life and want to devote my time in teaching and developing others.

I have wide cross cultural experience too, having travelled to 41 countries working on projects and for pleasure. I have varied interests too. I conduct test driving of cars, lead expeditions to remote areas on vacations, play tennis three times a week, and am an avid landscape photographer.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been on the Visiting Faculty for over 30 years at the college and university level and have done individual as well as group tutoring, specializing in all Marketing and HR subjects. Another area is assisting students in research, coaching and mentoring executives. I also provide advice in career planning and work life balance and conduct specific training courses for companies and individuals. Over the years, I have taught, counselled, guided or trained over 20,000 students and professionals.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is to first understand the scope and depth of knowledge and skills desired, develop a teaching and tutoring methodology based on the needs of the student, make a detailed plan and schedule, design a monitoring process and take remedial actions in an interactive way. The purpose is to make learning an interesting, fruitful, challenging and rewarding experience for the learner, while at the same time giving me personal satisfaction of helping someone becoming successful. Because of Covid, I am currently teaching three MBA courses, providing project/research guidance to 55 students, mentoring and coaching several others - all on line.
