Personal Description:

I have worked as an ESL instructor in a private language school in Toronto, where I had the pleasure to teach students from many corners of the world including Japan, Korea, China, Turkey, Russia, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and Saudi Arabia. I myself learned English as a second language in the UK, and then in an American-curriculum International school in Pakistan, and later in Canada as an immigrant. I was born in Iran and have lived in Toronto for the last 17 years. I have travelled extensively and lived abroad including in England, Pakistan, Cuba, United States, and Tajikistan. In addition to English, I speak fluent Farsi and intermediate Spanish. I have an honours B.A. in English Literature from York University and a M.Ed in Social Justice Education from University of Toronto. I am TESL certified, having completed my training and certification at Toronto's Seneca College.

I keep it simple and focused. We focus on one item/theme per class. The focus is on practicing and using the language item so you can learn to produce it within the correct contexts, in both speaking and writing.
