Personal Description:
I grew up in North Vancouver spending most of my Summers as a child in New Brunswick visiting extended family. I myself had troubles learning in a school setting during elementary and secondary school. After some learning assistance I was finally able to come into my own and be near the top of my class for Physics and Math in grade 11/12. I went on to study Physics at Queen's University and graduated in 2014 with my Bachelors of Science with Honors Physics. I never would have been able to achieve what I did if it wasn't for those who helped and took the time to adapt their way of teaching to my way of learning. For the past 3 years I have hiked, skied, and traveled throughout the world all the while keeping my love and passion for physics in my back pocket.
Tutoring Experience:
No structured tutoring / teaching experience. Although I have taught many people, including friends and strangers, since graduating that needed help studying for a grade 11/12 math or physics credit. I also just find the subject interesting enough to convince my friends to teach them simple equations and physical laws that they can relate to real life.
Tutoring Approach:
Since I have been through a learning support program from the age of 8-15 I understand that everyone learns in a different way and that the most effective way to teach is to adapt to the needs of the student.
