Personal Description:

I have a lot of experience tutoring, including tutoring ESL students, as well as instructing other students on reading comprehension and essay writing. I am an English tutor. My goal when tutoring is to help my students to develop critical thinking as well as the ability to research and compile their findings in a paper.

Tutoring Experience:

I received my Bachelor of History and English and my Ph.D. in History. I've taught at a number of different schools. I've found that teaching is something I can do that really enriches both my life and the lives of others. I like to know that I can make a positive impact on the world.

Tutoring Approach:

I view my role as a tutor to be more of a guide, to help my students grow and develop and discover truths for themselves. I also find it very important to have positive relationships based on respect because once you do build a rapport with your students it is much easier to help them learn and to study.
