Information About Sarah
Calgary tutorPersonal Description:
I have just completed my Undergraduate Degree and have received my Honors Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto with a specialist in Political Science and a certificate in global perspectives. I will be attending Law School at Queens University in the Fall and was highly successful in my applications to the best Canadian Law schools having been offered a place at the top 6 law schools in the county.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been a peer mentor throughout university working with the university accessibility program I have been a volunteer notetaker and have also taken on many students one on one for aid in essay writing and refining, as well as test preparation for Political Science classes. I have more recently taken to helping fellow students with applications for graduate and law schools as well as preparation for the LSAT, the Law school admissions test.
Tutoring Approach:
I enjoy talking through things with students as I find the discussion is one of the best ways to remember the information that you are learning. Asking questions to deepen someones understanding of a subject makes it much easier to apply this information in the future as well as implementing it into written compositions such as essays and written portions of tests. I find that for most people writing down organized notes or maps of the course content is also quite helpful in preparing for tests.
