Personal Description:
My favorite university subjects are math and physics because I love to solve problems. Math is exciting to me and I feel like it should be interesting to everyone, which is why I choose to be a math tutor. I am an enthusiastic, patient, and humorous tutor, which helps me relate to my students.
Tutoring Experience:
I earned my bachelor's degree in Hotel Management in 2010. I returned to school to earn my degree in Materials Science and Engineering because I love math, science, and engineering topics, which makes me a great math tutor. I frequently earned the highest score on exams in my math classes and was glad to aid my peers in understanding difficult problems and finding more effective ways to study for tests in subjects like multivariable calculus. I can also help students study for the math section of the SAT and ACT.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe in using analogies to help students understand complex topics by relating them to familiar topics. This is especially helpful in math-related science topics like physics. It's important to me to first assess a student's goals, find out where they are at on the path to meeting their goals, and then finding out what triggers their curiosity.
