Personal Description:

I am going into my last year of studies, working towards a Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in Finance. I have graduated with honors all throughout high school and I have a passion for teaching. With my previous work and volunteeer experience, I am confident that I can provide true value to younger students by allowing them to use and improve their current skills and abilities to succeed academically. I love working with children as I know it takes patience and consistency to provide help effectively.
I am fluent in both English and Persian.

Tutoring Experience:

My younger sister is now going into grade 11 and I have helped her in every subject starting at the elementary level until now that she is in high school so I am very familiar with the current curriculum that is being taught in schools across the board. In my second year of university, I certified as a national lifeguard and I also received my swim instructor certification. Through this, I was able to teach younger children the skills required to swim as well as set effective lesson plans to see them improve and feel confident about the material being taught.

Tutoring Approach:

I would first want to get to know the student very well and gain insight into their strengths and weaknesses. Through this, I will be able to teach and adjust my instruction in a way that supports their specific learning style. Asking questions and engagement are points I would focus on to make sure the student feels comfortable when they need to ask for clarification and can come to each session ready with challenges and problems they need help solving.
