Personal Description:
I am a biologist with research and teaching experience in different countries.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught ecology courses at an undergraduate university level (46-87 students). In addition, over the course of my PhD, I contributed to an advanced undergraduate course in Animal Behavior, and had the opportunity to take training courses for teaching on topics like pedagogy, course design, research and teaching, and embedding sustainability into teaching.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe instilling curiosity, discussion, and inspiring students are crucial to facilitate active learning in any discipline. As a student, a researcher, and a teacher, I have been a learner. It is by asking questions, discussing with students and colleagues, and investigating further topics of interest, that I have set down the strong foundations of my education, research and teaching ideas. I engage students by considering individual differences, selecting approaches for particular learners, and performing different methods for assessing their learning.
