Personal Description:

I graduated from University of Toronto in Psychology and Geography where I did several Math electives. My degree taught me important things in how to write essays. I taught urban-planning concepts in classrooms at University of Toronto school to primary school youth aged. I like biking, new foods, teaching and occasionally playing tennis.

Tutoring Experience:

Started off with high school math tutoring, teaching basic literacy to primary school children. I ensured the content fit in with their goals and syllabus. I taught English to newcomers in Canada by going through the basics and speaking frequently to them. I have three summers teaching youth city planning and geography concepts, specifically targeted to youth aged. I co-developed curriculum pairing and taught it in classrooms.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in teaching with patience and empathy. Engaging lessons, creative thinking and feedback is key. It is important to tailor each class to the students needs. It is important to find out for me what the student wants to learn and frequently assess if we are moving in that direction.
