Personal Description:

I have advanced medical degrees, and experience performing research in a lab setting, and I think this background makes really helps me as a biology tutor. I work with high school and college biology students. Our sessions can serve as a general overview of the subject, or we can focus on a specific topic, like immunology. It really depends on what you need!

Tutoring Experience:

I received a bachelor's degree in Sociology, then went on to earn an M.D./Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology. I have also worked in a laboratory setting, helping with cardiology and pathology research.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that every student really wants to learn, and so it is up to me to create space to allow the student to that. Tutoring should be responsive, rather than prescriptive, and a good tutor has a sense of what goals the student is working toward, in each session individually, and over their whole time together.
