Personal Description:

Hi! My name is Richard and I'm a first year medical student at Queen's University, in Ontario, Canada. I did my undergraduate degree in the Bachelor of Health Sciences Program at McMaster University. I started tutoring in the 10th grade of high school so it's safe to say that I'm well seasoned by now!

Tutoring Experience:

I tutor students in all sections of the MCAT (I scored 520+ on my first try), anatomy and physiology (I was a teaching assistant in undergrad), as well as basic sciences such as biology and chemistry (I achieved a 4.0 GPA all through undergrad).

Tutoring Approach:

When I work with students, I always prioritize customizing my lesson plans to the needs of the student. I find that every student is so unique with their strengths and weaknesses that it's vital to really understand how my students learn best and what they need extra help in. Additionally, from the years I've spent tutoring, I've found that my students are most engaged with active recall techniques when teaching as it helps them the most with information retention. Ultimately, the lesson plans I come up with will be a combination of my years of experience, along with input from you as a student and what works best (and doesn't!) for you.

Through my tutoring, I've consistently delivered results, having been able to help countless students achieve 520+ on their MCAT as well as perfect GPAs for their science courses. I've gone on to see the students I've taught get into medical school or other highly competitive professional / graduate programs.
