Personal Description:

I am an excellent Latin tutor because I have a good personality and I'm enthusiastic about the language. I have studied Latin extensively in school and continue to read it for fun. I think it's important to encourage my students to enjoy the language by reading texts they are interested in that are written in Latin.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in the Classics, and I studied Latin and Greek as tools that fundamentally inform our relationship to language. I am available as a Latin tutor to work with students at all levels… including high school students who are taking AP Latin.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe it's important for me to guide students to answers so they can gain the confidence earned when they arrive at answers through their own processes, which helps instill a love of learning. When I first meet with a Latin language student, I discover what aspects of the language they enjoy and what aspects are most difficult for them and we go from there.
