Personal Description:

I am an outgoing, pre-service teacher that is passionate about learning. I love math, English, and chemistry (these are my favourite subjects) and would love to get you pumped about them too! Outside of school and tutoring though, I love to travel, go hiking, and read. I also have a large family that keeps me happy and full of life.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring since I was in high school, and working with kids since my graduation in 2015. I have worked in a daycare and for a summer program (CSI through Boys & Girls Club), and through my university I have worked in the classroom for 2 years. Most of my experience is within the inner city/north end of Winnipeg. I have been tutoring casually for years but now I am trying to gain more students and make that my focus!

Tutoring Approach:

I always believe that I must meet a student and get to know them well before I make any assumptions about their learning styles. The first session I normally try some different things out, and see what works best for them. My approach is FLEXIBILITY, meaning that if they aren't getting it, then I need to keep working to find something that will help things click for them. I like to break things down into small steps and use many visuals to aid in learning. I do both in-person and online tutoring, too.
