Personal Description:
Hi there! I'm a recent graduate from the University of Toronto. I have a Bachelor's of Applied Science in Engineering Science and a Master's in Clinical Engineering. I love science and math, but I can also help with english up to the high school level. I enjoy sports and travelling, as well as playing piano and guitar.
Tutoring Experience:
I have a well-developed background working with youth of various ages. While in my graduate studies, I was a Teaching Assistant for several courses in the Faculty of Applied Science in Engineering at the University of Toronto. Additionally, I tutored several first year engineering courses, including calculus, physics and chemistry.
Through my community involvement as a member of the Women in Science and Engineering Outreach Committee, I have become versed in creating presentations and workshops for youth. I also worked as an Engineering Outreach Instructor in 2013, visiting schools across the GTA and instructing three weeks of a summer science camp. I have the ability to creatively tailor mature and educational topics so that they are understandable and exciting to a youth audience.
Tutoring Approach:
I want to know what you need help with. The best way for me to help you, is for you to give me notice about what topics you'd like to cover, so that I can do a quick tutorial and then we can work through some practice problems together. I want this to be interactive learning!
