Personal Description:

Teaching is greatly rewarding for me. I have a high level of motivation, which I believe makes me an excellent math tutor. I like to set goals and then surpass them, and I like to transmit this sense of motivation to the students I tutor. I have become comfortable in different teaching situations and have had a chance to work with students with a variety of learning styles.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Ecological Restoration and graduated with highest honors. I have three years of experience working for a university athletics department teaching students a variety of math topics. I have more than a year of professional tutoring experience and have helped many students effectively prepare for standardized exams like the ACT, SAT, and ACCUPLACER.

Tutoring Approach:

When I first begin to study with a student, I spend time observing them and getting to know their goals, personality, and interests. I can better understand each student by observing their learning styles and personality, so I can work with them without their feeling shy or uncomfortable around me.
