Personal Description:

Becoming a physician was very challenging for me, and I relied extensively on the support of tutors for study strategies, jolts of self-confidence, and mentorship. Now that I've succeeded in becoming a doctor, I want to pay it forward by serving as a biology tutor and providing the same types of support that I was lucky enough to receive as a student. The best part of tutoring is the expression on a student's face when they finally experience the "Aha!" moment.

Tutoring Experience:

One of my former tutors recommended me to a young woman who was looking for help with her homework, and I found that I was benefiting from tutoring her just as much as she was. I took pride in seeing her grades increase and look forward to helping others in the same way.

Tutoring Approach:

The key to solving educational challenges is the right approach. If you convince yourself that you aren't smart enough to pursue a STEM career or pass an exam, you'll fail. If you see every roadblock as an exciting challenge to overcome, you'll have much better results.
