Personal Description:

I am an Australian Primary School teacher that loves the outdoors. I am very active and loving the opportunity to try all of the new winter sports that Canada has to offer. I moved to Canada last year and am working privately with families but would like to try and provide some online tutoring as well.

I decided to take a break from teaching as I found there was a lot of additional work and requirements that took me away from actually teaching my students and it didn't feel sustainable. I always felt that I connected most with students that had some level of difficulty at school (social, behavioral or academic). I love seeing them grow and supporting them to develop their confidence.

Tutoring Experience:

I worked as a learn to swim instructor before I began as a Primary School Teacher so have worked with children for over 12 years. I have worked across all subject areas in Australian Primary Schools and taught students from 5-12 years old. I worked as a classroom teacher for 6 years, with greater experience working with students aged 5-9.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that there is a way to make all learning fun, find the fun and you can find an understanding. I believe that students can enjoy all subjects with a little bit of the right support to boost their confidence.
