My name is Paul and I am a certified Math and Science Tutor for K-12 students. I have been offering group/one-to-one tutoring services for 4 years. I have a Honours Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Ryerson University, in addition to two certificates in Data Science and Food Security. I am willing to teach and tutor individuals of a variety of ages in a wide stream of Mathematics, Science, and English. As a University student with a 3.4 CGPA and having achieved the Ontario Scholar award for high academics in high school, I have a keen interest on problem solving and I am willing to help those struggling in challenging areas of Mathematics. I am able to tutor in an online environment as well as those living in Mississauga, Etobicoke, and the GTA.

Tutoring Experience:

I first started doing voluntary tutoring in high school for students struggling in Mathematics. I currently work as a part time tutor at a group tutoring center for Kindergarten to Grade 12 students. I am able to tutor a wide variety of subjects, from English, Math, Science. For elementary school, I am able to teach Kindergarten to Grade 8 students in Science, Math, and English. For high school, subjects include pre-Calculus, Advanced Functions, Data Management (Statistics), Algebra, and Trigonometry. I am also comfortable in teaching English reading/writing comprehension. Apart from elementary and high school subjects, I am able to teach first year College/University level subjects in Calculus, Discrete Math, Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, and English.

I first do a diagnostic test the student has learned in the past year to see what their strengths/weaknesses are on. I then practice on improving the weaknesses of the student based on homework and test results. I am a very adjustable tutor in a way that I will teach the student based on his/her learning pace. I also try to socialize with the student to keep them interested about the subject matter.
