Personal Description:

I am in my third year at the University of Toronto, St. George Campus. I am double majoring in Philosophy and Criminology and Sociolegal Studies. After I receive my undergraduate degree, I am planning to attend law school and become a lawyer!

In high school, I enjoyed and excelled in English and Law. Being in University has further improved and expanded my writing and speaking skills, as well as my legal knowledge. Although my legal knowledge is not enough to practice law, I believe that I have learned (and continue to learn) enough to pass on general knowledge that I was taught in both my high school law classes and University Criminology courses.

I was also a camp counsellor for two consecutive summers. I was responsible for ensuring that my young campers felt comfortable and were occupied with fun and educational activities at all times. As a camp counsellor, I have learned how to multi-task and be highly efficient without sacrificing the quality of the work I produced.

I believe that the skills that I have acquired from being a student and camp counsellor can be applied when I tutor. I combine the knowledge that I have from school and the skills that I have learned as a camp counsellor to ensure that each student I tutor feels comfortable in the learning environment that I provide.

Tutoring Experience:

Having been a camp counsellor, I have been trained to ensure that my campers are placed in an environment that is conducive to fun and learning. Although I have not tutored before, I believe that the skills that I have from being a camp counsellor is similar to the skills that is necessary for tutoring.
