Personal Description:

As a lawyer, I learned how difficult life can be for people with little education. I have been a middle school English teacher since 2013, and have been an English tutor as well. I make sure my students see the real-world value of the things they are learning, so my job is to make sure the material is relevant. This helps my students gain enthusiasm for English.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government and went on to earn my Doctorate of Jurisprudence (JD). I'm most passionate about teaching literature, reading, and writing. As an English tutor, I can also work with students on Comparative Literature, English grammar and syntax, and more.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe learning has to be student-centered for it to be effective. As a tutor, I must provide the essential tools each student needs to master the subject at hand. When I first meet with a new student, I like to get to know their interests and goals. This helps us work together as a team toward their understanding.
