Personal Description:

I am an ambitious teacher and a lifelong learner. I believe that private tutoring is a future of the World's education and a way to develop true global citizens that would be able to join any community in the world for further study and work. I started private tutoring because it gives me an opportunity to use my creativity and passion at the full capacity to provide the best educational experience for my students.
As a lifelong learner, I am constantly increasing my qualifications. I have obtained a Master's degree in Education from the University of Essex, and a PGCEi certificate from the University of Nottingham. As a part of my Administrative career, I took a year-long course in a school Leadership and Administration at the Harvard University.

Tutoring Experience:

I am teaching Chemistry and Biology for 11 years and 7 years among it in international sector of education. Also, I worked as an Academic director of International school for 3 years, supervising Heads of Departments and making sure that education process in my school is going along with curricular requirements. As a teacher I have taught according to AP, SATII, IGCSE, A-Level, IB and ACT curriculums in different international schools in Shanghai, China. Also I provided a direct tutoring for students who struggling with concrete topics on the school ground and as a independent tutor as well.

Tutoring Approach:

I am working in three main areas - helping students who struggling with certain topics in their school program. Providing a full course in the desired curriculum preparing students for the corresponding testing system. In addition, I provide advanced classes for students who went beyond the school requirements and want to deepen their knowledge in chemistry and/or biology. Therefore, the approach is different in these three different cases.
When I am working with students who have problems with understanding certain concepts, first of all, I investigate the reasons for the problems and henceforth work towards them, filling up blank spots and fixing misunderstandings. Eventually, the student can restore a clearness in an understanding of the problematic topic and incorporate it into the learned course - see a bigger picture.
For students who are studying the full course with me, I am providing the recent information and updates they need to know to successfully pass the examinations. I use connections with school principals around the world, that I developed while working as an Academic director to provide the most recent teaching strategies and information about changes in the testing systems. Thus, I can guarantee that my toolbox is always up to date and my students will pass the tests smoothly.
Finally, I have a set of engaging courses for students who want to learn Chemistry/Biology at a deeper than school level or are just interested in these sciences. We are discussing certain concepts at the university level and making research on the recent peer-reviewed papers on the topics that students are interested in. I also provide guidance for possible publications.
