Personal Description:

Tutoring and teaching others is something that I have been interested in for a long time. In high school, I would provide tutoring to elementary school students, and I have been teaching individuals ever since. At the moment I am a chemistry tutor, and teach chemistry at the high school and college levels.

Tutoring Experience:

I received my bachelor's degree in Chemistry. I like to incorporate humor into my lessons. I find that if you can make students laugh and enjoy spending time with you then the whole tutoring process becomes much more effortless and more effective. Over the years I have tried many methods of tutoring and like to stick with what works.

Tutoring Approach:

My philosophy as a tutor is not to simply have my students memorize answers but instead to focus on the process and problem-solving. I also like to identify what type of learner my student is. Different people learn through different processes, so I want to ascertain whether my student is a visual learner, whether they learn through text, or if they are a kinesthetic learner, and then I customize my lessons on that basis.
