Personal Description:
I am a childhood educator, currently working towards my Master of Science in Education at the City College of New York. I have a variety of teaching and tutoring experiences, with the most recent being teaching abroad in Shanghai, China. In addition to English, I speak Farsi and have limited knowledge of basic spoken Mandarin.
Tutoring Experience:
Attained 140 Hour TESOL/TEFL Certification from Oxford Seminars, with specialization in children.
I spent three years in Shanghai, China working at both an English training center as well as an international school. In addition, I tutored students on the side to help them with in-school performance or upcoming English examinations.
Tutoring Approach:
I am passionate about education and aspire to help others become confident in their own learning.
I believe that rapport is the most important part of the learning process. I'm happy to have a complimentary 10-minute meeting with potential students to talk about their learning goals.
