Personal Description:
I work well with students with learning disabilities. As someone with ADHD, I have developed handy techniques that can support students who face these challenges. I can support students as an English tutor, as well as in languages, writing, and other areas. I can take complex ideas and break them down into easy-to-grasp analogies. I strive to keep my students motivated and engaged as they practice legal writing or draft college essays.
Tutoring Experience:
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Justice, Law, and Society with a minor in Applied Physics in 2015. I spent a year learning Ancient Greek, Italian, and Latin. Additionally, I have taken Spanish for six years. I have experience working with students with learning disabilities, such as dyslexia and ADHD.
Tutoring Approach:
My stance as a tutor is to serve as a guiding force, rather than lead students to the answer. I encourage them to tackle problems independently before I intervene, which can allow me to identify where the disconnect occurs.
