Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Nasha and I am a certified ESL instructor, as well as a tutor in a variety of subjects. While my truest passion is teaching, I also have other interests! I have a passion for drawing and painting, I enjoy yoga and meditation, and love discussing history, philosophy and politics. Chances are if you're interested in something, I will be more than excited to talk to you about it!

Tutoring Experience:

I have 2 years of experience working at Oxford Learning Academy. I worked as an after-care teacher with ages 4-13, as well as tutored all ages in a variety of subjects.

I am also a CELTA-certified ESL instructor, and have worked at EC Toronto with groups of students aged 16+ and 30+, at all levels of proficiency from Beginner to Advanced. I also have experience working with ESL students one-on-one.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is student-centered! One of my greatest strengths as a teacher is my genuine interest in my students. My first session is always about getting to know your needs as a student, your interests, and figuring out your optimal learning style. From there, I will be able to individually tailor a program that is the most beneficial to you. I also believe in providing a safe and comfortable environment in which to learn and grow. Especially with language learning, we need to be able to take risks together so we can maximize your fluency. I want us to get to know each other! Because of this comfortable environment, you'll get lots of opportunity to practice speaking naturally.
