Personal Description:
I have received my BSc and MSc in Electrical Engineering from Qatar University, and my PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 2021. I speak both Arabic and English fluently. I enjoy art, both as an artist and as a museums fan. Also, I design video games in my free time as a hobby.
Tutoring Experience:
My main tutoring qualification to tutor in STEM field is not my PhD, but rather that I maintained my status as a tutor in all my programs, from the start of my BSc in 2009 until I finished my PhD in 2021. I tutored as part of Student Learning Support Center in Qatar University and the Faculty in Residence program in the University of Saskatchewan. Moreover, I worked as a private tutor whenever I was not a part of the university's student learning support. I have 10+ years tutoring experience spanning multiple subjects including: pre-calculus, calculus, calculus II, programming concepts (C++), programming concepts (python), electric circui**Contact Detail Removed**ctric circuit II, power systems, digital signal processing, engineering graphics, physics and physics II. I have tutored in English, Arabic and mixture between both based on the needs of the tutee.
Tutoring Approach:
My main approach to tutoring is trying to simplify harder concepts to their basic form. Even if it is a PhD level topic, I can find a simpler way to explain it to a tutee. My second approach is finding the unique traits for each tutee. I have seen many students who struggle with concepts marked as "easy", while quickly understanding more advanced concepts. So, I always aim to find the strengths of my tutees and help them fix the gaps in their knowledge of the subject.
