Personal Description:
I am a teacher on the occasional teaching list in the WRDSB (supply list). My teachable is French, however I am qualified to teach grades K-10 all subjects. I went through French Immersion myself from grade 1-12 and continued my french studies in post-secondary. I graduated from Laurier Brantford's Concurrent Education program with Nipissing. I am a language fanatic and advocate for French, and above all a passionate teacher.
Tutoring Experience:
I have tutored casually before, however I have my BEd with French for J/I, BA with honours and have completed a Primary AQ course. I have over 6 years classroom experience through volunteering and my co-op work in university.
Tutoring Approach:
I excel in one-on-one settings with learners, as I have the learner guide their own learning through inquiry and discovery, which is much easier to do within an individual setting. I would say that my approach is to have the learner establish a good understanding as the foundation of a problem or topic, and then let them dive into trying out different or more advanced levels of problems. This approach works with all subjects, I have found.
