Personal Description:

I have always enjoyed working with children and finally have the time to devote to doing it as a job. I feel that I am a born teacher, frequently giving lectures to imaginary students as I studied for my own examinations. I also relied on tutors a lot when I was a student, so I understand what students can get out of it.

Tutoring Experience:

I volunteered to help elementary through high school students with their educational goals through a university program, giving me three solid years of teaching experience. I also minored in mathematics at the same institution, so I'm prepared to answer questions on trigonometry or college algebra.

Tutoring Approach:

Practice makes perfect. It's a cliche, but that's my motto as a math tutor. I believe that if a student reinforces their skills by making good use of their textbook the material will click eventually. I also ask students to explain concepts back to me to assess whether they have truly mastered the material.
