Personal Description:

My favorite method of teaching is in a one-on-one setting. I have always loved music and can tutor students on any band instrument. I can also tutor students in Music Theory and in AP Music Theory. I tested out of two years of Music Theory and Ear Training in college, which is one of the reasons I make an excellent music tutor.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in Music Education. I have actively studied music for 10 years and I have been playing music for nearly double that. I am available as a music tutor to work with students on any band instrument through the high school level.

Tutoring Approach:

I understand that each student learns in a different way so I change my tutoring style depending on who I'm studying with. I foster enjoyment of music and the particular instrument or subject my students study so they can learn it more effectively. When I first meet a student, I like to find out what their greatest challenges are so we can tackle them together.
