Personal Description:

I am a licensed, professional engineer, with degrees in math, physics, and electrical engineering, who has taught high school-level math and physics. Each of these aspects from my background informs my work as a physics and math tutor. In addition to physics and math, I also help students with SAT prep.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a BS in Engineering Mathematics and a BS in Engineering Physics. I also have an MS in Electrical Engineering. Between receiving my BS degrees and my MS, I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa. I am certified to teach math and physics at the eighth through twelfth-grade levels. I have also worked as a scorer for standardized exams.

Tutoring Approach:

As a physics and math tutor I begin by figuring out which concepts are giving the student trouble. In subsequent sessions, I provide examples for them to work through that are designed to better illuminate those troubling concepts.
