Personal Description:
I enjoy tutoring students and seeing the light bulb go off when they finally understand a topic. Through my teaching methods, I can give students the skills they need to study independently for any subject. I can break concepts like price ceilings and floors down to the foundational level and build upon it over time.
Tutoring Experience:
I earned my bachelor's degree in Accounting. I plan to attend the same institution to earn my master's while I work towards CPA certification. My educational background provides me with the knowledge necessary to guide students through economic topics like personal finance, international economics, and macroeconomics.
Tutoring Approach:
I strive to find the right form of communication to help my students. I can incorporate hands-on, visual, and aural techniques, such as handy charts to outline the roles government plays in microeconomics or worksheets to learn about decision-making and cost-benefit analysis. When I first meet with a student, I work with them to identify problem areas that we will need to focus on, as well as figure out their learning preferences.
