My undergraduate specialization was in Plant Sciences so I am a big plant nerd,
Tutoring Experience:
I have experience both as a tutor and as a high school teacher. I have 7 years experience tutoring elementary, high school and CEJEP/University aged students in Math, Science, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. I have formal experience teaching high school science for both advanced and regular secondary 4 and chemistry for secondary 5 students.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring starts with meeting the student at their level. I believe that some students learn more efficiently in a one on one setting and I strive to provide a personalized experience so that they achieve success. Giving students the opportunity to express themselves, ask questions and make mistakes in a comfortable environment free from judgement will allow them to learn through their own curiosity and intelligence.
