Personal Description:

I can provide the support necessary for students as they tackle the biological concepts they find challenging. Likewise, I can help them build strong study skills that can support them as they progress through concepts like biological molecules and the mechanisms of evolution. By working 1-on-1, they can rest assured that they are the primary focus of each study session.

Tutoring Experience:

My educational background is in biology. I obtained a bachelor's degree in Human Biology specializing in Bioinformatics and Stem Cell Science. I held high scores on the SAT and ACT, such as scoring a 30 on the ACT Science and a 770 on the SAT Subject Test in Biology E/M.

Tutoring Approach:

As a biology tutor, I work best with students who learn through visual cues and techniques. I believe that learning can be fun and interesting if presented in the right kind of light. When my students have trouble understanding a topic, I reframe it in as many ways as it takes for them to get the hang of it.
