Personal Description:

My passion is helping students improve their understanding of academics and achieve their goals. I enjoy meeting and working with new students. I'm an English tutor who can help students in elementary and middle school with subjects like reading comprehension, reading, writing, and phonics. I can also help students with general study skills.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary School Teaching. I'm an elementary school teacher with over 30 years of experience. I have had my students raise their test scores significantly during my years of teaching. I can tutor students of all abilities from special education to gifted and talented.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that all students are gifted and some just open their packages sooner. When I first meet with a student, I like to learn what they like and don't like, their areas of strength, and the challenges they face. This helps me guide them to become independent learners who have the self-confidence and enthusiasm needed to retain the knowledge they gain.
