Personal Description:
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with an emphasis on human service and research. I completed an undergraduate thesis exploring the impact of mindfulness and study habits on post-secondary students stress levels. I am a very encouraging individual and seek to support you in your learning experience. I am patient and I understand the stressors of school. My hope is to try and make the process a bit easier. If you have any questions about me or my background/experiences please don't hesitate to ask.
Tutoring Experience:
I have always been one to lead study groups and one on one study sessions with peers during my undergrad and appeared as a guest lecturer for a Crisis Intervention class at the University of Guelph-Humber last month. I will also be completing my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification over the coming weeks.
Tutoring Approach:
Learning happens differently for everyone, it's important to remember that. My approach is centred around the student and how you learn. We can work together to figure out what that is, what works for you and what doesn't. We can work on organization, study skills/techniques, project management and of course, content. I look forward to studying together!
