Personal Description:

I strive to help students at all levels understand biology. The hallmark of my approach to teaching is listening to my students. If I understand precisely what they need, I can save time by designing study sessions around that. I am also an effective communicator who can explain potentially difficult concepts such as marine biology in terms that students understand.

Tutoring Experience:

I recently graduated with a BS in Biomedical Sciences and a BA in Spanish, so I believe I'm qualified to explain scientific concepts to students from a variety of backgrounds as a biology tutor. I have also worked as a peer mentor for one academic year, eventually being promoted to co-chair of the Training and Advising Committee because of my performance.

Tutoring Approach:

I earnestly believe that all students can learn with effort and the right support. I will never give up on you, so you shouldn't give up on yourself either.
