Personal Description:
Hi,
My name is Marco. I speak German (mother tongue), Italian (form my father), French and English. I taught Latin for 5 years while living in Rome.
I have studied all my life with the Jesuits from whom I received the best training ever.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been a language teacher since 2000. I taught all the aforementioned languages all over Europe (Italy, France, Austria, Germany).
Tutoring Approach:
Communicative Language Teaching Approach (CLTA), where the simple, efficient and clear use of the language (execution) becomes more important than the sole knowledge of its grammar (competence).
The student is the main actor of the learning process while the teacher is the motivator or “controller” of the learning dynamics. Any adult-related learning process should be adult-focused and the teacher should use two initial strategies: control and warmth. The former is nothing but the teacher's ability to lead the class towards the predetermined goal without losing any learner while the latter is the teacher's emotional contact to the class, the teacher's approachability.
