Personal Description:

I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I studied at an American school (from 5 to 18 years old). I currently reside in Montreal, where I am pursuing a degree in Honours English Literature (I graduate in December). I love tutoring--have been doing it since high school (2007)--and helping people enhance their English and/or Portuguese.

Tutoring Experience:

I started tutoring in high school as a community service project. I taught English for underprivileged children who lived in Rocinha (the biggest favela in Brazil), I tutored English when I was a freshman, and for the past year I've been tutoring adults, helping them feel comfortable speaking in English.

Tutoring Approach:

I always adapt my lessons according to the student's needs. I always create exercises based on the lecture of the day, often addressing and using examples from our discussions. I can also create mock interviews and create essay prompts. I'm very flexible.
