Personal Description:

I'm currently a journalist at 680News in Toronto.
I love learning and helping people further their education.
I'm an avid reader and love learning about other cultures.

Tutoring Experience:

During my time at Mohawk College in the Journalism program, I worked as an English/ESL tutor.
I helped students write essays, letters, and complete ongoing projects.

In the summer of 2016 I traveled to Japan to teach English and Canadian culture to high-school students in that country.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to break down whatever project the student is working on.
I try to get the student to fully understand what the assignment is asking of them.
Then we brainstorm about what approach would be suitable.

If the student is working on an essay, I like to break down the structure of an essay and what a proper thesis is.
Then we work on applying their book/movie/scenario to the essay.

I also am more than willing to work with ESL students on their pronunciation, grammar, writing, and conversational skills.
