Personal Description:

Hello, my name is George. I have taken a rigorous academic course load since coming to this country, giving me a strong foundation in STEM concepts that I am interested in sharing as a math tutor. I believe that the most important aspect of tutoring is helping students realize the benefits of academics for themselves, enabling them to self-motivate instead of relying on outside factors. Tutoring Experience:

I am currently a senior who is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. I speak both English and Mandarin Chinese, enabling me to connect with students from different backgrounds.

Tutoring Approach:

I try to put myself in my student's shoes and ask myself, "what kind of support would I need to understand this problem?". I also try to help students feel like they've achieved something by the end of every meeting to reinforce their self-confidence. Finally, I encourage students to be curious about the world around them.
