Personal Description:
I hold a Ph.D degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. My expertise is on electrochemistry and electrochemical engineering. I have been researching and working on many energy conversion devices such as electrolyzers and fuel cells. I am originally from Indonesia, very friendly, and easy-going.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been a teaching assistant during my years at UBC (4+ years) in particular in Chemical Engineering. The courses that I have been TA-ing include thermodynamics, mass transpor**Contact Detail Removed**ctrochemistry, air pollution control, etc. I have taken a training for class instructor last year at UBC and selected as one of the instructors for the UBC Vancouver Summer Program, teaching a class of 30 students on Introduction to chemical engineering. During my high school and undergraduate years I participated in math competition on a regular basis. I love math and learning.
Tutoring Approach:
I treat students like a friend, with whom we can learn together. My approach in teaching is to train the students' imagination not only teach them how to solve the problems. They need to understand the logic behind and how knowledge can be useful rather than getting a good score from remembering the equations.
