Personal Description:
I enjoy gardening and spending time outdoors. I have a wonderful family who I love to spend time with and cook for. I am always energetic and have a positive attitude about success!
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching for 11 years. I started teaching in elementary in Grades 4 and 6. I then became a high school teacher and taught English, Geography and Hospitality (cooking). I have my Specialist in Geography, 3 part specialists (375 hour courses) in Special Education, Cooperative Education and Guidance. I have been an administrator - Vice-Principal for the past 3 years in a JK-12 school as well as being a high school guidance counsellor. I have tutored students in Grade 7-12 and have helped them with a variety of subjects.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe everyone can enjoy learning it just takes a different approach sometimes to help students understand a concept. Persistence, patience and respect is key to me to help students succeed and tap into their potential.
